Wedding Photographers
Without me telling you selecting a wedding photographer is critical to a successful wedding. Everyone has looked at wedding pics and you quickly realize that because of the importance of a wedding the quality of the photography does matter. This is one area where you do not want to find a photographer because he is the lowest priced. You generally get what you pay for and this is one area where that statement is especially true.
One of the quickest ways to find a great wedding photographer is to ask your family and friends. You can look at the quality of the photography and quickly see if they meet your standards. The fact that pictures of the wedding last long into the future is once again why I say this is one area not to scrimp on.
Does the venue you will be using have a photographer they recommend? Can they provide pics to back up their recommendation? Keep in mind this could be the venue director’s brother and that is the only reason they are recommending them.
As with any vendor you want to meet with him or her prior to the wedding and in detail relay your plans to them. What colors will be used, the layout of the ceremony, what sort of pics you want and at what angles.
A good photographer will have a massive portfolio of his work and can show you ways he can get good shots of your wedding. This exercise may also help you to see the best sort of color schemes to use to get the best shots. I always tell brides a photographer’s portfolio is a gold mine of information for all sorts of wedding ideas.
Make sure you and he agree on a package and a cost prior to the wedding. This is not something you want to leave until the last moment. A good photographer is likely to be booked months in advance so you need to negotiate a deal early on.
Remember a photographer can only do so much. You need to be sure you and your future spouse look absolutely fabulous on your wedding day. You will likely looking at your wedding pics for years to come. You need to look your absolute best on your wedding day.
